There's no doubt in my mind that this is the week. This double-header gives those for and against Martinez in the boardroom a perfectly reasonable line in the sand.

I can imagine Bill saying "see how we do at Anfield and Wembley," as a way of trying to stall Moshiri's decision.

It's a perfect week for a judgement. Two of the biggest matches in the season, that mean the most to Evertonians, in the space of a few days. It's the brick wall at the end of the road they're kicking the can down.

We lose on Saturday - I'm sure we will - and he'll be gone by the next match.

I solemnly promise never to set foot in Goodison till he's sacked.

This thought actually crossed my mind this morning when I woke up and realised it hadn't all been a bad dream! To all those saying give him the summer budget, then til' Christmas etc etc - wake up and smell the coffee! He's clearly lost the dressing room, the majority of the fans, and hopefully by lunchtime will have lost his job!

Seeing as Davek isn't here, I'll fill the giant orange shaped hole with what he'd probably be saying

- That defeat wasn't Martinez's fault, it was the fault of the clueless players who couldn't carry out his awesome tactical innovations well enough

- The supporters were also at fault for not being loud/passionate/patient (delete where appropriate) enough

- 72 Points

- We're in a Semi Final, so League results don't matter

- David Moyes got us to a Cup Final and had us finishing in the top half of the table, he was a bad manager

- Roberto Martinez has got us to a Semi Final but has us finishing in the bottom half, he's a good manager

- 72 Points

- Roberto has to stay because he has us playing the best football in the history of all time. The football is amazing and we should all be praising the ground Martinez walks on for bringing great togger back to the Goodison Park

- We don't have a problem with defending, and anyone who says otherwise is a disloyal plotter

- People only want Martinez gone because they are a bunch of knee jerk and entitled cry arses bothered by the fact we got destroyed by Liverpool in humiliating fashion. It has nothing to do with over 18 months of bad performances and poor tactics

- 72 Points, 72 Points, 72 Point, 72 POINTS!!!

Have I missed anything?

Wow. It's as if the great man was here with us himself *wipes tear*

P.s you forgot to mock the few tortured souls shouting their opinions down the bog

I completely agree mate.

but even if you try to look at this subjectively, the best form we have had is in the cup. So from a perspective you can say give him his FA cup game and see if he can pull it out the bag yet again which is obviously a positive for the club if we got through. that has to be some thinking behind it.

I'm with you like, i want him gone today. I think we have already lost on saturday because the players won't believe they can win, never mind tactically. All it takes is united to score first and the game is over sadly. sounds pessimistic but plkenty on here said we would get hammered last night and they were all right.

The board are clearly giving him The fa cup game - maybe as its the fa cup but still to keep him in charge regardless is insane mate. That's it united score early and the games over. These players don't want to play for this manager anymore and it's only bill kenwright and co who want him - still. I wish they would just act like a proper run football club and not nicely pally etc, that's the way we are run.

I feel physically sick this morning, and it's not the 4 pints of beater that took the edge off last night either.

The thought of this clown leading us out at Wembley is making me fume.

If he had an ounce of self respect he'd be talking to Kenwright now and sorting out an amicable "mutual decision" contract severance.

He's lost the dressing room and the entire fanbase, we need a lift before Saturday and the only thing that will provide it, is his departure.

Do the right thing Martinez and leave with a crumb of dignity.

I think we reached that point before last night. Honestly hoped I'd look on here this morning and find a thread about his sacking, sadly not.

We can't possibly be any worse by chucking an interim manager in there for the rest of the season so why not give it a go?

I'm still fully convinced he's toast when we get knocked out on Saturday. Been saying for weeks I think these two games will be the tipping point for the board. Even though that tipping point should have happened weeks, maybe months ago. We'd still have a chance in the FA Cup if it had

Yep.

If he can't cope with a week like this, he'd never cope at the next level.
