Is it too late for the Tories to replace Sunak with the sword-bearing woman?

Only if she uses it on him. He has demonstrated time and again that he cannot be trusted and that his judgement is abysmal. He’s not even a smart political operator. I know you guys don’t like them, but he could have asked both Boris and Farage a month or so ago to get involved in trying to win over the electorate on his behalf, but no, two good orators who many actually like were ignored and now one of them is going to seal his fate. This is all self generated idiocy. Starmer could stay in bed until polling day, not even bother to write a manifesto and he’ll still win. It’s the most ridiculous and amateurish electioneering I’ve ever witnessed…..

Disgusting, self entitled , self serving excuse of a Prime Minister.

Wants the youth to do a years National Service and couldn't be arsed to do an afternoon himself.

Fortunately he will f off to California in a months time. He can stay there with his non dom Mrs
Maybe he got enough of Nigel Farage, who was also in attendance? (since when does Farage applaud helping the French?)
I'd leave as well.

Sunak comes across as a bit unbalanced judging by his manic behaviour during the so-called debate the other night. I don't think the UK electorate warm to people like that.
He's the opposite of Boris, whose bumbling but approachable demeanour was far more to their liking.
A human being, flaws and all!

Calling Boris a good orator is stretching it a bit Pete, when Boris speaks for any length of time he says " erm " more than Wayne Rooney !
Boris is the epitome of Ron Burgundy and would need a teleprompter.

I've disagreed with you over a lot in the past, pete, but this post is spot on.

The thing to remember is that Sunak is not some sort of rogue operator existing as leader of the Tory Party, he is one of them and the top tier are the people he chose. Look at the sycophants who are out defending him for lying and then for snubbing the D Day memorial. They are all the same, they may vary slightly in their level of entitlement but essentially they are all the same. Ditching him now is akin to shuffling the deck chairs on the Titanic.
If the people of Yorkshire expect him to represent them in the next parliament when he will have to sit on the opposition benches and work hard for an MPs salary when he has £700 million in the bank they deserve him.
I am no fan of Keir Starmer or the current Labour Party I think they will be a much better prospect than the Tories for Britain. The Conservatives need a re-set, the spread of views represented in that party is two diverse, it appears to me that they are really two parties, but then the same could be said about Labour. Maybe it is time to introduce Proportional Representation in Britain and thereby introducing coalition government, the parties could split into smaller groupings with better reflect the views of their members.

Proportional Representation was the referendum that went under the radar. Only 42% of the electorate bothered to vote.
The country might have been a lot different had that gone the other way.

Who could have thought, a day of remembrance and ultimately victory, to champion the sacrifice and herald the generation that succeeded would be potentially the last gasp of the tory screw job that has finally buried them.

I had no idea the level of criticism this quite terrible mistake would earn, and listening to mordor wittering on with all the conviction of a lettuce about an apology since. Oh tories, we're all laughing at you!
