Im fairly sure he ignored guidance from everybody.

He didnt care, he just wanted more money for himself.

So agreeing with me. He took guidance, but ignored it. Never said he didnt. That isnt what the medical bods said.

Ok, ive caught up.

IT appears as tho he didnt take any advice.

I didnt see the post on the previous page.

Personally, I would take the word of the medical people who made statements under oath.

Lets see what liar, liar pants on fire has to say for himself.

Not gonna prolong a row about the idiot. I just find it astounding that he never took any advice.

….from what I’m hearing Sunak did not seek advice from the Government health experts. They seem united in saying they knew nothing about the scheme until after it was announced.

Sunak might have sought advice, but not from the experts advising at that time.

Important to remember that witnesses at the hearing are giving evidence on oath, including the ‘let them die’ claims.

Well no mate, the eat out to help out was responsible for hundreds, if not thousands of deaths.

He literally didnt have to do it. So he wouldnt have been damned if he didnt.
Yes he would by thousands of businesses. Hindsight is great, I take great pleasure in reading the first 100 pages of the Covid thread

I assume the senior servants at the treasury provided him with advice as its their job, could well have wiped his arse with it than take any heed of it though.

Nobody knew what it was after the first 100 pages.

Sunak doesnt have that luxury, he was very aware that it was killing millions of people worldwide, he didnt put business needs first, he put his own.

@Kurt. is the best post I’ve seen on here regarding transfer of expertise.

The screams about mental health due to the shutdown were widespread and not least because many businesses were about to go under.

…..the Permanent Secretary or any senior civil servant in the Treasury would definitely not be an expert on health matters. I was a CS for over 40 years, they would not pretend to be ‘experts’ when they’re not even scientists.

Even Sunak will not pretend he had expert advice that can’t be substantiated.
