Current Affairs Rishi Sunak

Boris was the only candidate who already had a mandate both from the party and the electorate. If Sunak and Mordaunt go before the Conservative party, whoever wins should become PM. If the party at large is not involved in a vote and there is an effective coronation of Sunak, who has neither an electoral mandate nor a party membership mandate, then I think a GE should result.

Sunak was done by the Police for exactly the same as Boris and he did not do anything for the good of the country in stitching up Boris and us ending with Truss. What he did was for the benefit of Sunak.

No, I would support Mordaunt as I have said throughout.

I have no idea who will be PM next month…..
Would actual be a strong statement if Sunak was to call a GE. I’d expect him to win it as well (albeit with a significantly reduced majority)

However, we won’t see an election for 2 years.

Even appointing Sunak won’t save them now.

The racist UKIP element of the Tory following will not get behind a man with brown skin, as this Tory member clearly proves

There is absolutely no way any Tory PM could win an election at this point. None.
I think you underestimate how people look for any excuse to vote Tory. They may be polling at 20% but that is a solid base that’s never going to shift. Add in the secret Tory voters and people that believe we are being overrun with wokes and immigrants and you will find labour would struggle to get a majority. Coalition maybe. Just my opinion like.

Stuck to your guns can't argue with that. ;)
