Sir Kier, proper Labour man of the people…..
Not a man to take the people for a ride. Will not lie about levelling up and equality, while delivering austerity and a shambles. What exactly are your proudest moments of the last 12 years?

I wish you would stick to posting about football @peteblue. Sometimes, it is nice to agree with you. . .

Sorry @peteblue - I will of course fight to the death to defend your right to continue spouting utter guff about anything and everything.....

As if Tory members are going to choose a man of colour over a white, posh English rose of a woman called Penny lol
Not sure they’ll get a choice. Penny is way off the 100 and I reckon most of those careerist bellends that backed Johnson will flock to Sunak now. It will probably just end up with Dorries crying in the rain on her own

Fingers crossed the membership sees sense this time and Sunak gets the job that should NEVER have gone to Truss.

I keep coming back to the leadership hustings. Every time they spoke about the economy, Truss outlined her plans (which she then set in motion via Kwarteng's appalling budget)... Sunak patiently explained why her plans would not work and what would happen as a consequence. Time has proven he was as near to 100% accurate as I've ever seen anyone be about the economy.

The economy is in urgent need of immediate attention, and Sunak appears competent in that aspect. As for the tax exile status? Who cares. Anyone with hundreds of millions in cash assets would do exactly the same. Sorry, but to me that demonstrates fiscal aptitude.

I think quite a few people care that very rich people can circumnavigate tax laws, generally through well paid financial advisors in order to remain extremely rich, whilst poorer people have to pay their way.
I used to work in debt management, and the amount of folk I would speak to who tried being a bit sneaky from HMRC but then ended up with huge tax bills further down the line is unreal. HMRC collect very aggressively with little room for manoeuvre and can and do force bankruptcy.

I’m just glad that you have all rallied around Sunak for the good of the country.….

We want an election it must happen now Pete, I mean whose going to be PM next month, can you honestly answer me cause I can't., spin the bottle, roll the dice, pidgeon toss ?
Sounds a bit like you're coming round to the idea of Richi, you seem to be admitting him stabbing Bojo in the back ...was the right decision, for the good of the Country. Now that Boris has ran away from the battle, are you switching allegiance?
So just 4 questions to answer honestly
1. Do you think the Country deserves a General Election, the people want it well 70% of them ?
2.was Richi right to do what you think he did for the good of the Country ?
3. Are you switching allegiance, u turning like a lot of you're MP’S?
4. Can you honestly tell us, who will be PM next month, is this now a monthly thing being leader of the Conservative party. ? Honest questions that need honest answers please Pete. Have a nice day. ;)

Boris was the only candidate who already had a mandate both from the party and the electorate. If Sunak and Mordaunt go before the Conservative party, whoever wins should become PM. If the party at large is not involved in a vote and there is an effective coronation of Sunak, who has neither an electoral mandate nor a party membership mandate, then I think a GE should result.

Sunak was done by the Police for exactly the same as Boris and he did not do anything for the good of the country in stitching up Boris and us ending with Truss. What he did was for the benefit of Sunak.

No, I would support Mordaunt as I have said throughout.

I have no idea who will be PM next month…..
