Current Affairs Rishi Sunak

I think you underestimate how people look for any excuse to vote Tory. They may be polling at 20% but that is a solid base that’s never going to shift. Add in the secret Tory voters and people that believe we are being overrun with wokes and immigrants and you will find labour would struggle to get a majority. Coalition maybe. Just my opinion like.
All true mate, but their rotten behaviour of the past 2/3 years trumps all of that.

May I ask why you wont support him?

You say hes a snake, yet you backed Boris, who is the biggest snake in the world, you backed Truss, who plotted behind Boris back to take the crown?

I have to ask, why does a man who voted for Brexit object so strongly to a chap called Rishi Sunak?
Dead.

He seems far more serious and level headed than Truss and possibly better than Penny at this moment in time due to him understanding the big black hole in the treasury better than most. Hopefully he is a decent PM for the couple of years he's got.
Penny is supposed to be absolutely terrible at getting to grips with details of her portfolio, people who worked under were shocked at how little she understood anything other than the barest of details.
Out of the two I think he is the safest for the country.
Not that that's saying much, give him two weeks after the mid term budget, and people start digging into him,and he will go down like a tonne of bricks.
He can't win, either way takes the unpopular choices and the public hate him for it or he does nothing and we bump along.
He can't hide behind it's a new future ect as he is responsible for getting us to this piont.
We're are the decent one nation tories these days?
I might not agree with them on most things but I can understand were they are coming from, this lot are pure and utter con men/woman that have high jacked the tory party.

guessing that was where*

and my answer is 'these days?'

The party will rally around him for now, however post-winter and the numerous factions within the party who aren't pro-Sunak will metaphorically do his legs.

There won't be a GE in the next few months, but come April I think it'll be inevitable as the party will likely become some fractured that he won't be able to lead.
