RIP Scottish Football

Not sure what the cause is, or what the answer is, but when you remember all the greats from the 80s that were winning European trophies, including our own Gray and Sharpe, something has gone fundamentally wrong.
If I recall correctly, the last Scottish player to win a European trophy may have been Paul Lambert for Dortmund in the 90s, there would have been at least a couple of dozen of them that won one in the 80s

Darren Fletcher I think

Neil Ashton (Sunday Supplement) had a good line...

I wonder what's it like to play the worst team in international football?

Well San Marino will find that out later today

But once they pulled the blue Scotland shirt on they were rubbish.
Wouldn't have mattered how well sharp played the sfa loved Dogleash.
I recall once the boos when he got subbed for sharp.Who came on and immediately nearly scored with a great header .
Those other rs players never replicated their club form for Scotland.

True. Scotland could have gone very far in the 82 and 86 world cups if they could have replicated their club form, but even Alex Ferguson couldn’t get the best out of them.
