2019/20 Richarlison

Is that the same Duffy he sent the shops last season and then slotted?

Strikers dont get moved out of position for becoming ineffective - Richarlison did last season therefore he isn't a CF mate. If he was we wouldn't have signed Kean & DCL wouldn't have played most games up top - he got moved there yesterday as Silva was on the verge of the sack so it was panic stations.

I got laughed at aswell for suggesting Iwobi is better central than out wide, Coleman being finished and called out Silva as being gash before it was cool to do so - I'll not get upset over being seen as clueless by the super bloos and will wait for others to get upto speed - guarantee you in less than 5 games you'll have comments in here saying he isnt a CF as he isn't he's a wide player who cuts inside and should in a front 3 but the board failed to deliver a CF and he'll be rotated in that position along with DCL until next season.

Just have to hope Kean develops and fast as we'll not improve on 8th with no CF regardless of the managers shortcomings.

HE IS NOT A CENTRE FORWARD

Silva and Brands will ruin this kid.

Should be bossing it out on the left cutting inside and causing havoc yet thanks to the above two bozo's we signed a 19 year old striker for £27 million who doesnt get selected.

Hate the powers at be at this club.

He's not so superior on the left that we should even consider disrupting Bernard and Digne's partnership at the moment.

I quite like the idea of three of Richarlison/ Kean/ Bernard/ Walcott/ DCL interchanging with Iwobi, Gomes and another pulling the strings behind them.

Its a tough one as Richarlison for me isnt a right sided player - but as you say Digne & Bernard have a good partnership.

If it was one or the other it would be Richarlison for me simply for his goals as take him and Gylfi out the team we have literally no goalscorers.

He gets niggly fouls against him constantly (showing how much he worries defences). If he wasn't so dramatic he'd win more freekicks. I understand it must be frustrating for him but also frustrating to watch!

....he shouldn’t be our most effective striker but he most certainly is.

I still think he’ll actually score more goals playing out wide but he was terrific yesterday, it’s just a shame we still haven’t filled the striker void. Let’s hope Kean can eventually get up to speed, he has the physicality to stretch defenders like Richarlison did yesterday.

I wasn’t a fan of Richarlison as a striker because he got bullied by CBs and wasn’t great in the air. But the way we played yesterday that didn’t apply. Maybe because Coleman wasn’t there to send lots of bad crosses into the box. We kept the ball on the floor and that played to the strengths of this attacking unit. Can’t remember when we scored twice from open play without a header. No need for DCL up front if you have all these quick players fizzing good passes around.

Keep him central. Ball sticks to him better than any other and will take a bit of pressure off Kean.

the more we get this lad on the ball in the box the more we will score. Defenders fear him. He looks so much more comfortable and influential starting central rather than out right.

he has the strength to play it, he has the pace and has that bit of nouse as well.

Hes scores a few with his head but in terms of the ball being booted long to him, you’re right, not his game. His movement and ability to control the ball makes him so much more useful than any other in the middle.

needs to put left or central for me, he just looks so uncomfortable and ineffective on the right.
Gives Kean more time to settle and hopefully come on and get his first goal at some point.

brands hasn’t bought Kean thinking he’s the finished product, he needs time.

....he gets in the box regardless of what position he plays in, that’s why he’s so effective.

Hasn't been effective on the right though Eggs. Better he be central and be involved more for me.Just finished watching the West Ham game, thought he was terrific throughout, gave them real problems.

I’ve got to be honest I think it’s mental that people get so annoyed with him going down trying to win free kicks. Ultimately he’s trying to win the game for Everton by (almost) any means necessary.

There’s a fella on the bench there seen as an Everton hero and he was far worse in regards to discipline.

I haven’t seen the full highlights yet but I was a little surprised and perplexed as to why he didn’t go down for the penalty in the left channel first half, it may have been outside the box but it looked close with the naked eye.

Ultimately to me diving/winning free kicks is cheating in the same way claiming corners/throw ins etc is when you know it’s come off you, if you get caught then fair enough. That’s what the referee is there to do.
