He’s a great talent, our best football player, but I don’t see 4-4-2 working out in the Premier League right now. We need that third central midfielder imo.

If Carlo does go with 4-4-2, then he will play as a centre forward, no doubt.

But if we end up with 4-5-1, I think it will be Richarlison that is moved back to midfield because of DCL’s heading ability, and he actually scored the same amount of goals as Richarlison did.

Is he less effective as a midfielder? Can he play as a lone striker?

he only played 4-4-2 because his cardiologist recommeded that watching 5 of our midfielders was detremential to his health.

Richy L DCL C and Kean R could still be a very good front three, but for that they need to also play well tracking back and pressing, and we need a midfield that is about 100 times better than we have.

Kean, so far and would glad to be wrong, seems like he's going to need another season but if he develops and Richy wants to stay here, that would be fine

How does renewing contracts work FFP wise?

So when Richarlison originally signed for £50 million - if he then signs a new 5 year deal down the line is his original sale price essentially just respread back over the new 5 years on the books or is his value still just repaid over the original contract years when he first signed?

If hes bought for £50mil (we dont know if clauses have been met) and has for example, 2 years left...

...then we extend...

...the remaining balance owing on the books of £20mil is then spread over the new contract.

Only if they can get rid of their mountain of deadwood. But wonder how it will come out under Koeman, remember Cuco.
Selling Messi is the only way for them to rebuild...get big fee still and huge salary off the books...for them is either sell Messi and rebuild or keep Messi but only be able to do so much...1 or 2 players max in
