Not a popular thing to say but out best players (dcl, holgate, richie) all went up a notch under Ferguson, they will go even further under carlo but Duncan deserves more than a bit of credit for his short stint

He's a forward, but not one suited to being a lone striker.

Basically means he plays anywhere in a front 3, or just off the striker in a 2.

Would tremendous in an athletic front three, really hope to see it

I think Duncan gave them their confidence and belief back, the team seemed stifled under Marco and his single system. Duncan changed the shape and played players in their right positions.
Carlo will now give them confidence to operate in multiple systems and not be afraid to express themselves.
