Yeah somehow him getting driven out of bounds was his fault. Honestly though he looks so much more comfortable retaining possession and linking up than even 6 months ago.

Playing with better players possibly gives him more confidence and of course being recognised in Brazil now as an attacking superstar in the making doesnt do any harm.

On another level to everyone else on the pitch.

Only other two to impress me were Neres and Everton.

This guy is our only player that is marketable and has a following outside of the Everton fan base. Not just important on the pitch but hugely important off it. The kind of player that neutrals would turn on the tv to watch which is something we haven’t had for a long time

Seems a really nice kid, knows what his roots are and doesn't forget, massive difference in attitude and work ethic from these young lads who grew up in poorer places to the self entitled spoilt European kids.

We were linked with him 12 months ago , but then so have a clutch of top clubs including ,ironically, the RS who were being strongly tipped to sign him fairly recently.

Can see it now...the RS sign him this summer and you can imagine the outrage amongst their lot. But after a hatrick on his debut and a solid start he is quickly a fans favourite. They mock us that "Everton" is scoring goals for Liverpool etc.

Then in the first derby of the season with the game at 0-0 going into injury time....up pops Everton. Own goal. Scored deliberately. Kopp end. He rips off the redshirt to reveal a toffees jersey underneath. Pulls that off too to show off an Everton tatt right on his heart. He cups his ear gleefully to the frothing masses. WWE style heel turn complete.
