He's being kept on in some capacity by the EPL as an advisor isnt he for the next three yeas? This stinks. Why are say Huddersfield and the other promoted clubs / dreamers being asked to pay because it's the season Father Premiership Bonus has called time - surely Villa, West Brom, Sunderland and a host of others have earned more than them due to TV Rights obtained under his tenure. He got his bonuses right enough when he delivered for the Premiership when he was paid to do exactly what he did. Paying him extra because he's leaving as a Thank You is embarrassing. It's more than the contribution each club makes to support away fans as part of his initiative to help ordinary machgoets. I find it disgusting.

This is the essence of capitalism. It is all about "what the market can stand". The clubs are being asked to buy nothing for £250,000; if they asked for £1,000,000 the clubs would say no. £1,000,000 for nothing is too much but at £250,000 it is alright.

In all seriousness its true I cant be the only one who's seen a sudden surge of women appointments all across the football league since the start of this season, be it commentary, punditry and in executive roles.
I have nothing wrong with it providing they are actually qualfiied to do the job- rather than being appointed on the basis of the FA trying not to look like "old white men".
Sol Campbell must be fuming mind.

Ehm, if Everton aren't giving £250k, how is he getting £5m?
Following the PR firestorm which Buck's public announcement prompted, it was decided instead to pay out Scudamore from a Premier League "central fund" - so stories that Watford, Fulham and Southampton have refused to participate is a misnomer.
All clubs will effectively lose £250,000 from that fund, which will be used to retain Scudamore in a consultancy role when he steps down.
