reports from last night

As others have alluded to if this was true it would've been all over social media. Talksport even did a phone in about the trouble at West Ham on yesterday's drive show so the media is well up for talking about trouble at football. All I've seen from Sunderland fans is praise for our club after the donation.

Imagine Being from Sunderland and saying Liverpool is deprived. It is in places but it's also got a lot going for it aswell. All Sunderland has going is premier league football, and look how good they are at that!

Just an after thought.

If, and let's be honest atm it's a mahoooosive if, this happened surely given all the activity on not only tw@tter, faceache, etc etc but also their football forums last night NOT ONE SUNDERLAND FAN HAS ALLUDED TO ANYTHING EVEN REMOTELY LINKED TO BOTTLE THROWING at the game.

NOT ONE
I like the way you wrote 'not one' in big bold letters and pink too, my fav colour

We have idiots but you would have to be a complete psychopath to throw a glass bottle into a crowd of people watching a footy game. I don't believe it. Plastic bottles may be.

@Sunderland afc @Sunderland Fan @Ambivalent Squirrel @zomygod

Did this actually happen or is someone with a chip on their shoulder trying to stir trouble up?

I sit (well, stand) in the north west corner so, although I'm not directly below the away fans in the north upper, I'm pretty near. Can't say for definite but I didn't see or hear anything like that. Surely if a glass bottle was chucked there'd be a bit of commotion below, probably with stewards etc there as well which definitely didn't happen.

If someone has done it (not sure why they would, and especially with the standard of cctv in grounds now) then it's obviously a one off idiot, seriously doubt more than one would be doing it and tbh Everton have always been a set of fans that self police to a certain extent, anyone doing stuff like that would have likely been put in their place.

So can't say for definite but I didn't see anything and I have to be honest, some of the comments on that thread are embarrassing, a few idiots showing our support up. Imagine criticising Liverpool and calling it deprived when the vast majority of our fans live in a city which at least equally suffers from deprivation. No doubt the people making those kinds of comments have moved away and think they're above everyone else in the city now. I don't find deprivation and social issues in cities something to joke about or try to score points off, it's pathetic

been checking in on a sunderland forum now and again to gauge their reaction and I saw this

I seriously doubt it's any lids on here as it seems to be a thoroughly decent sort on GOT, but on the off chance one of them is on here/someone on here knows them then let me pass this on

what are you doing? anyone throwing glass bottles (especially from a top tier with families at the match) is utter pond life and needs to take a long hard look at themselves. we don't need this nonsense dragging our name through the mud on a night where the club and vast, VAST majority of fans flew the flag for values in football

Mate it pains me to say it.

I went to the MK Dons pre season.

I'm going for a pee and in the cubicle section I can hear two scally's talking. Now the only other cubicle was empty as it was before the game, so I knew they were in there snorting coke, coz I could literally hear them snorting coke. Imagine the commentary as I answered natures call.

Now let's just look at this. Two fans have travelled all the way from Lime Street to Milton Keynes, to bosh some lines in a gritty toilet..?

There is always going to be this in any fan base unfortunately. But as my numbers prove, it's a very small minority. I'm sure the club will look into it, if it's true.

Well done to the fans who just went and enjoyed the game. I bet it was fantastic in the away end. Proper stuff.

That is bad no two ways about it. Pity the culprits were not found out and banned for life. In my book they are not fans of Everton FC.

No that I can believe, always makes me laugh the queue for the cubicles in the men's when the urinals are free.
