REMEMBERING GARY SPEED 2 YEARS ON

It's 2 years to the day when the world learnt of the death in tragic circumstances of Gary Speed. He was an Evertonian from a boy to wearing the jersey with pride.
Let us reflect on this sad day for his family who still mourn their loved one.

This really affected me. So very sad.

I love Roberto Martinez, I really do, but there's no doubt in my mind that if tragedy hadn't struck, he'd be enjoying his first season as Everton manager right now.

Great footballer, seemed like a nice guy, really sorry for his family. heard his dad speak about him when he was young and starting out, you could sense his loss, heart rending.

Such a sad story. Regards to his family

I wish to this day that Chris Nowinski had had a chance to look at his brain to see if degenerative head injuries caused by football might have been a contributing factor to his suicide

I guess I'm just holding out for something that could somehow make sense of the whole thing in some way

Fantastic footballer and an Evertonian, perfect combination.

Massive loss, the memorial we laid on for him at Goodison was heartbreaking, especially seeing how much it meant to his dad.
