The "manager bounce" idea is largely a fairly empty and vague concept. We beat Leeds under Lampard, but we didn't get a bounce after.

Tactics and formations are figured out to such a degree these days that getting that extra margin from players can take months to fine tune. The right manager at the right time can win games other than depending on a "bounce", and if they don't, well nothing has changed.

That's not to say that a new manager cannot come in and win a string of games, but if it was as easy as that they would have sacked Dyche long since.

Yeah I really hope this one doesn't come to pass. Would be a sickener if he done that and kept them up over us. Hopefully if something like that does happen we have our act together and it's Leeds or someone else going down

Hed have to be a candidate, id say hes impressive enough in an interview and has the CV, hed scald us as well.

He and Dwight McNeill together at last. lol

Burnley somehow competing to be an even worse run club than us. Will cost them £10m to get rid of Dacha given he signed a four year contract last September. More debt to add to all the debt they piled onto the club when they bought it with the clubs own cash. If they go down, they aren't coming back. And don't see any sort of bounce from an U23s coach in as caretaker. Think this means we are all but safe ?

Got a massive one under Ancelotti in fairness.

Of course that squad was massively underachieving under Silva but he came in and won 5 of his first 8 prem games.

Allardyce in 17/18 was unbeaten in his first 6 prem matches.

This is great news for us. I now think we win 2 of our home games and we can breathe easy.
Thought we could win 2 home games anyway without Burnley getting rid of Dyche, but i was also half thinking that Burnley may have won their next 2 home games (Before Dyche was sacked)

Still got to be careful imo.

1 point from next three games, 29 points from 33 games.

Burnley rouse themselves with new manager bounce and get 4 points from the Southampton and Wolves home games. 28 points from 33....

Then it's on to see who wins at Watford.

There's still more twists and turns in relegation battle although does feel Burnley are having a football act of self harm with this decision. Just need to see who they actually appoint in next 24 hours.

No one it seems, and looks like they may have got rid of Dyche for the sake of it, going by that they have already said who is in charge Sunday
