Could really do with Burnley losing to Norwich today to be honest. Would really swing the odds our way.
we’ve got Leicester twice, got to be points there, and a derby is always up for contention.

could be safe by 4pm today.
Whilst I admire your optimism mate, a Norwich win today would not in any way, shape or form put us “safe”

I don`t think Burnley are getting 14 points from 9 games when they have 24 from 29 games.
We have to assume they will and its not beyond reality. A win today leaves them needing just 11 from 8 very favourable fixtures. If they lose today then it could be that 36 or 37 points will do it for us

Okay sat in the garden mulling over yesterday's fantastic result when a butterfly landed next to me. Is it me or has it got a prince Rupert's Tower on each wing tip? It's a sign everythings going to be ok ??

Its the hope that kills you. every time we get a result this season I expect us to kick on and start performing, but inevitably we just crumble. Leicester play three times before we play them on the 20th and have a fair bit of travelling too for those games, so we should be in a decent position to get some points, but judging how the season has played out so far we will end up just not turning up or just gifting them goals.

I really hope we can string a few wins together at home and grind out a draw or two away, which so far this season we seem totally incapable of. With Mina returning from injury and Mykolenko looking to have settled in a bit more I hope our back line will be more solid and we can cut out some of the individual errors which seem to cost us points on a regular basis.

UTFT!!!!

When Watford go it could be a three horse race still looking at Leeds Fixtures. They are 5 clear of us but the two games in hand we have. They could easily be dragged back in. The win they got at Wolves that they shouldn’t have got probably keeps them up tho. I hope Burnley lose every game. I also hope we can real Leeds in. Because if we can get above Leeds we are safe.

I see your logic. It is conceivable we finish above Leeds or Brentford but not realistic in my mind that either of those clubs does down. They both probably only need one win from their remaining fixtures

It is possible given their fixture list. A lot hinges on today. Lose and 36 points looks a mile away for them but realistic for us

Couple of things a mate just pointed out to me. Leicester play 3 games before they come to Goodison next, hope that takes some out of their legs.

Also check how many games Burnley has left in April compared to Everton’s two.

By the turn of next month we should know what needs to be done before a run of potentially hideous games hits us. Or ace ones if Everton react to the crowd like yesterday.
Who ARE you?

Just because Burnley and Watford haven't won many games this season, IMO it shouldn't be discounted that one of them might put a run together. It's happened in the past. I can remember WBA, Fulham and Leicester going on mad runs at the end to avoid relegation. Burnley have also put runs together in the past.
I was looking at this the other day. Wigan 2011-12, for example, won six of last eight and as you say there are others. Not an uncommon occurrence
