So you reckon that Burnley are suddenly going to get (at least) 1.56pts per game for the rest of the season (an average which over 38 games would likely have them in the top half), when they've averaged barely more than half that so far this season?

Did you not know that Burnley are world beaters after getting just their 4th win of the season on Wednesday. It's a shame for them that they'll run out of games because if not, I reckon they'd be in the hunt for the top 4.

That's a lot to ask. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Just been over on the Burnley forums and their spirits are low after our win today. Tried not to gloat as I don't want karma to smack me in the face.

In typical Everton fashion we've made things difficult after the WHU/Burnley games but we face Leicester at the right time who will have played 3 days earlier and have nothing to play for.

RS is a write off realistically in terms of 3 points but I think a plucky draw isn't impossible and I would take a draw at home to Chelsea as well.

4-5 points and then aim for 6 points out of Palace/Brentford/Watford

Leicester (h)
RS (a)
Chelsea (h)

We'll know our fate after the next 3 games imo.

4 points minimum needed
6-7 and we are safe I reckon
No not for me. The next 4 more important, but obviously you don’t want to be under pressure by being in the bottom 3.

If we get one win, we’d be 7 ahead, Burnley Have 5 games and some very winnable games, but they are struggling to score and not every team will gift them like us.

They have, Norwich, West Ham, Watford away Southampton, wolves at home let’s hope them 2 haven’t checked out. If we’re are level when they have 4 left and we have 5. Is definitely take that

My take is that I reckon 33-34 points will secure your PL place this season, I think it will be that low.

I think that Leeds and Brentford are just about safe, they won’t get dragged into this fight. I also think that Watford and Norwich are gone, so don’t waste any energy thinking about their results, they’re gone.

It’s a straight up dogfight between us and Burnley for the final relegation spot, no other teams will be involved I don’t think. We absolutely cannot allow them to leapfrog us.

A lot of work to be done yet.

Still think more than that tbh. It will definitely take more than that if Burnley win tomorrow. Which is not a foregone conclusion in fairness

Let’s hope Watford beat Burnley then

Burnley are looking really good though so I'm not sure?

No they’re not. The other night was a home night game against a wounded Everton. It was their cup final and they played it brilliantly but it was all adrenalin. They’re still an absolutely awful team with close to no individual quality.

I know “if if if….” If my auntie had bollocks she’d be my uncle etc….

I know we could analyse 30 points that we should have had…

…..but FFS, if only we‘d won at Burnley (which we really should have done), we’d be 10 points clear & probably 3 points off safety.

Never change Everton.

I say never, no DO change. Please!
