We need five or six wins. This means we will need to beat better teams than us given the remaining fixtures. A sobering thought
Which is possible. We've beat them before. The only teams I think we definitely won't beat 100% are Liverpool and City. We've a chance against the rest if we can just play like we played against Brentford and somehow stop the injuries to key players. I think we'd have won today if it wasn't for the early injuries to Mina and Gray.

We also still have Leeds, Southampton, West Ham, Burnley x 2, Newcastle, Watford, Wolves, Palace, Brentford and Leicester x 2. If we cant get 5 or 6 wins from those 12 then we deserve to go down tbh and can have no complaints

Yep. I agree we can get out of this mess and to be honest with the players available we should but it is going to be tough and could go to the last game. I imagine the Leeds players are chomping at the bit and looking forward to the weekend because at the moment we look a soft touch to be honest

We’ve already played Burnley.

At this point I’m not sure we’re beating Boreham Wood.

When people were saying this squad was too good to go down in November I questioned that. And I remember someone saying that this squad was too good to get beaten by Norwich. Then Benitez sold our only good player to Villa.

It was always going to be an almost impossible job to keep this squad in the Premier League. Lampard deserves huge credit for taking this job on.

I’ve accepted our fate now.

That's the reality of the situation. I've seen enough in the two games to think Frank can do it, I saw enough in the season to date to know Benitez wouldn't have.

Here's hoping Lampard can turn it around. Thankfully he doesn't need much to keep us up. A small run of good form over 7 or 8 games would probably do it so let's hope we do it. We need injured players to come back to fitness ASAP and others to stay fit, do that and we'll be OK based on what I've seen so far. We've just had no luck this season and Benitez was a disaster
