Strange, looking back, now that we stand on the verge of a momentous week, the one "twist and turn" that really hit me in this relegation ordeal was not Burnley's comeback win at Watford, but Leeds's comeback win over Wolves. At 2-0 Wolves, I was fairly sure that we could expect to get out of trouble. But by full-time I was in a state of shock. It really took the wind out of my sales coming as it did in the aftermath of the dramatic win over, I think, Newcastle. That one stung. I sensed that Leeds would be the direct rival for us, as I thought Burnley would get safe. I thought Dyche would keep them up. That was another twist.
Tomorrow, I think, will provide what could well be the definitive twist or turn. If we win, I think we will stay up. If we fail to win, I think we might drop. I don't think we'll beat Palace at home if we fail to win tomorrow. I could see us collecting two points from these home games - and that won't be enough if Leeds and Burnley are still alive at that point. We so badly need one more Leeds defeat.
