I didn't see the game but the Limerick keeper made the best save I have ever seen against Cork today at a vital time.

We have our future in our own hands - need serious courage and commitment. This Club must stay in the PL
The Limerick save was good but ball was at the idea height mate. The Waterford keeper made a better one . Ground shot across his body .
But wrong thread for that.

Southampton, Villa and Newcastle have nothing much to play for either.

I still think both run ins are reasonably similar e.g. Burnley had a fatigued West Ham today after europa and will be the same in a few weeks this side going to Leicester (infact probably better as don't think Leicester will beat Roma so they'll be really deflated). Both teams got a tough North london trip aswell. Balanced out by playing two other top 4 teams while Burnley mainly have mid table teams but they obviously have to make up three more points.

I actually think Burnley will take heart from today as digging out a point at West Ham isn't a terrible result and whichever manager they actually want will probably have watched that today and thought there's something to work with.
Tbh, I dont think Burnley are capable of getting a win after the last two outings.

People talkoing about Gerrard having tow games against Burnley and he could use them to skewer Everton. They obviously forget that he's at a new club and they are 15th in the table and on the edge of the relegation fight themselves. He'll want 6 points from Burnley and has probably circled those two games as fixtures where he can get up the table to respectability. If they finish where they are it's a pitiful first season's effort from him. They can forget about Spurs away...and anyone but Watford I can see them failing to get a win.

Leeds are there to be drawn in too.

I’ve seen a few people say that Burnley have some favourable fixtures which may be true but the teams playing Burnley over the last 7 games will also see their game against them as a good chance of picking up points.

Draws are probably not going to do them much good at this point and they’ve picked up more points from draws so far (13) than they have from their 4 wins (12).

They took 4 points off Villa last season so generally do o.k v them and Villa lost to Watford at home a while back and even with Coutinho just generally have a team on beach look so I wouldn't be relying on them at all.

Burnley have still taken 4 points from last 3 so I'm amazed they're just getting discounted. Fair enough if they don't win any of their next 3 as that will basically relegate them. However a point away to West Ham is undeniably a good building block and they could well appoint an experienced manager early next week so that should give them a further boost mentally.

I still think Burnley can get to 33-34 points so in that scenario would need 37 points before Arsenal away to be very sure of safety and that's a bit of an ask although winning on Wednesday massively helps.

No one is discounting them. But 4 points out of the last 18 available to them doesn't suggest they'll pull away from Everton. They played Norwich last week who are comfortably the worst team in the PL and looked pathetically bad. Today they made a fist of it in the first half against a WHU team that were slow out of the blocks and then relied on their GK to keep it getting out of control for them.

There's 3 teams left in this relegation race for the 18th position and only one look incapable of getting a win anytime soon.
