It would put team in a very good position that's for sure (unless Burnley then respond by winning their two home games but that's less likely with what they've done in last 24 hours). Win v Leicester and win at Watford and that's 34 points, a better GD and then could potentially just need a couple of draws from the home games to get over the line.

Alternatively Leicester could and grind out a 0-1 win like Wolves did a few weeks back and then defeats in the two after and it's 28 points with 5 left and then the pressure really piles on again so think it's worth pointing out things are still on a knife edge a bit.

Wednesday really is massive. Just realised Burnley aren't even playing on that night and are on Thurs so another positive result would deflate them even further imo.

Leicester feels like Wolves, Newcastle, Spurs, Southampton etc, the game that we can effectively move away from the drop zone. With a win we even start clawing teams above us back into the picture. 2 behind Leeds with a game in hand and a tough run in for them etc.

It feels quite decisive. Burnley's home games against Wolves/Southampton dont feel like gimmes.

The concern is, we have blown these chances before, and only really won when we had to, as almost last chance saloon.

The results this weekend (bar Man Utd) must have given West Ham as much incentive as possible to win today, they put a full strength team out in their last league game before Lyon and I fully expect them to do the same today. A hammers win would be the perfect weekend for the blues, come on you Irons!

i don’t trust WHU, they lost at home to Leeds this season too. Hopefully, Burnley will regret sacking Dyche, it does seem like they haven’t got anyone lined up.
