Sean Dyche have got them double promoted to the prem, kept them in the prem and got them in Europe once and stayed in the prem for years, with barely any budget, with the same players, the fact they are sacking him is stupid but that should be us staying up.
Yeah you do feel it’s gone a bit stale for them. I had them down as a threat towards the back end of the season, because their M.O has always been nicking unlikely points, but once that was gone, it’s not worth carrying on with that brand of football.
They could get a bounce, but they might not. It has to happen right away for them.
There's no point worrying about it when we dont even know who is taking over yet. Managerial changes tend to cause more upheaval at clubs who aren't used to changing manager. Thats my hope anyway. 10 years is an enormous run at a single club in modern football.

Whoever takes charge at Burnley would have to be willing to risk have relegation on their CV. That rules out a lot of people I would imagine. Then you are left with the likes of Roy Hodgson who is taken, Warnock who just retired and Big Sam who is probably bathing in a pool of gravy somewhere.

They are that poor that i doubt a bounce is even possible. Plays in our favour this imo. Feared Dyche more than whoever they bring in. Makes no difference to us either way though, we just need to concentrate on our own results and then it doesn't matter if they appoint the Lord almighty himself. 3 wins and we should be ok and feck Burnley.

Of course, from our point of view this smacks of desperation on Burnleys part. A recognition that if they didn't do something dramatic then they are not catching us.
This is a supreme piece of dice rolling. It could go either way.
They are still behind us on points and would need to do better than us in the final games. One would assume they have someone ready to announce as they waited 5 days after Norwich and they sacked the whole 1st team coaching staff. If they dont announce someone quick then that would mean they are worse run than us - which I find extremely hard to believe.
As things were going the momentum had swung our way and they must have felt they were going down.
This changes that dynamic - though not sure which way.

By the way, for context, I think Burnley's desperate punt is less likely to work than if we made a similar move and replaced Lampard with somebody else after a hypothetical loss to United. Why? I am not sure there is somebody out there who could get a better tune out of the Burnley squad than Dyche. To his credit, he has done a tremendous job there. I don't think there is a huge upside available to them now - I suspect Dyche was wringing all he could out of those players. Had Frank lost to United, it would have been a lot easier to say that somebody else could do more than he was doing with our players. Even now, one wonders if Frank is getting all he can out of our squad, but the United win buys him time to prove himself.
We simply need to do what we need to do at home to Leicester. Win that and the noose tightens on Burnley - no matter who is in charge there.

And we only got 9 points from the first 10 games under Lampard. If that was a new manager "bounce", the ball was punctured. And to be fair to Frank, Benitez had left the air out as he had only earned 5 points in his last 10 games, so context is everything.
What we do know is, if we cannot match Burnley from now to the end of the season, we have failed on an epic scale.
It's OK to tell everyone we are goin down last week.
But if you stay we are staying up it's sacrilege.
