Relegation Thread 25-26

Yeh I didn’t want to sound like the opposite dyche, but what I meant is the wins vs villa, united, Fulham all had an element of luck to them, taking the only chances we had in each game with some unbelievable saves, all could have easily been lost and we’d be on less than 30 points

We had many chances in the Villa and Fulham games though, they weren’t “the only chances”. We hit the post in the first half in both, had a ridiculous goal disallowed at Villa, so are we factoring that in and saying “could’ve been X amount of goals up” only when it’s the opposition to suit a certain agenda or what?

Only 3 clear after a 0-0 draw at home to the side on single figure points? How do you work that out?
they have half decent players and any manager worth his salt should be able to knock enough points out of them to stay up?

It's gonna be very tight.
West ham are in good form
Leeds look ok too.
Then Forest and Spurs have better players but seem like a shambles behind the scenes.
Just thanking my lucky stars we're not in that scrap

Please let it be Spurs..... We play them on the last day sending them down would be epic. I have a friend who's a Spurs fan and I got no end of grief over the last few seasons,

The relegation battle this year shows that it is getting more difficult to survive in the pl. Teams at the bottom, with the exception of wolves and Burnley, have got good squads and have spent quite a bit of money. Whereas we are good this year, we need a strong summer window, especially if we were to sell some of our key players. TFG will certainly continue with moyes as our manager for stability more than anything, and at least for pl survival this should help.

The sad thing for me is that this years relegation battle could be epic. Forest and Spuds are in a mess but with, on paper, decent squads & new managers coming in. Leeds still have to play all the teams around them and West Ham are the form team down there
And the media will just focus on the title race and obsess with the weekly fluctuations of Manure & the RS.

Going to be crazy down at the bottom. West Ham might actually be looking at the other teams and thinking they have the best manager out the lot now. Pereira and Tudor are massive short term gambles. Glasner wants out and everyone knows it, I don’t really know if Farke is any good, and Hurzeler looks like a rabbit in the headlights. Nuno at least has his team pointed in the right direction

I have thought all along that West Ham would stay up and was convinced it would be Leeds for the third slot but they look very solid and won't go down.

Dyche and Frank would have kept their clubs up but who knows what will happen now. As you say Brighton look in freefall but the gap they have could be too big for West Ham to bring them into the dogfight.
