Relegation Thread 25-26

It reminds me of the 1970s with two points for a win keeping things very tight. As a child, I think it was the league table in the Sunday Mirror that first interested me in football - along with the pools - WLWDL. Who was this mysterious W.B.A. who have climbed four places by winning at Norwich City?

Let's face it: with most teams - bar Wolves - capable of beating anyone else on any given day, it make for a more interesting season.
Do you think the old 2 point system worked well? Or are we better off for the 3 points?

Difference this season compared to recent times is the team just dosen't collapse mentally after a poor loss.

There was some nervous energy on here after the Spurs defeat (which was never a 3-0 based on the actual game). Team responded excellently with 7 points from next 3 games.

Then an abnormal defeat against Newcastle (basically 1-0 down from kick off) and three days later a brilliant win at a bogey away ground and the performance was good aswell.

So that's the difference in this squad compared to the ones under Lampard that would collapse and also plodding along under Dyche before a poor loss and then suddenly it's a 10 match winless run.

Wolves did beat us comfortably in the League cup!

Spurs far shorter odds than us to be relegated.

The last 30 yrs has made me glass half empty when it comes to Everton but this thread should be closed….
