Relegation Thread 25-26

I've done a projected table using Worldfootball. I have us finishing 15th on 44 pts.... and City winning the league! Forest drop on goals scored.

This factors in my belief that:

A. We will never win another home league game under Moyes (a draw v Burnley and losses in all others)
B. Forest and West Ham will win their respective finales against teams with nothing to play for.

In my projection, we only win one more game this term, 2-1 at West Ham. We still need 41 points to stay up on GD in this scenario. This season, 42 will guarantee safety.

Let’s revisit this again guys.

It's a really interesting battle this season. Far more enjoyable to watch unfold without Everton being involved!

I really dont think Spurs have the stomach for it. That result yesterday speaks volumes. Right now, I'd back West Ham to be able to bag a couple of wins and draws before the end of the season. 35/36 points could be enough to stay up.

Leeds trying to 0-0 draw their way to safety might come back to bite them.

Looks like they're banking on the home games against Burnley and Wolves.

Leeds at 7/1 is ridiculous odds and I have had a dabble on them. As you point out @Amokachi1995 they have two home games against Wolves and Burnley but the pressure on those matches will be too much if they haven't scored let alone won by the time they come around.

Some constipated thinking from the Spurs forum:
'...If it happens I don't think so. Genuinely.

We are so big that I would like to believe we would get the best possible manager and simply buy ourselves up.

I get that's hard to conceive right now but the revenue loss initially isn't too huge and I think (hope), we would have 4 players for all key positions.

If we go down...'

What!?

And:
'...Might happen if we go down on the last day!

Going to be f***ing carnage in there...'

Talking about their last game against us.

More from the Spurs forum. The last sentence had me laughing!

'...The club looses 300 mill most sites say. Sponsorship goes down, and no one is filling that stadium to watch Lincoln...
Club value gets slashed massively. Debt owned on existing transfers becomes more of an issue....
Serves ENIC right I suppose
Funny enough tho
the one thing we have that will soften the blow for us is NFL and your Taylor swifts, gorillaz, and bad bunny concerts , as relegation into league two makes no difference to that income...'

The losses could be substantial, what the hell are they talking about? Parachute payments and concerts aren’t going to cover those wages.

In the grand scheme of things, I do not much care who goes down tbh. Just glad we are having an awesome season and not been in that conversation.

I still have a feeling Spurs will do just enough to get out, putting my money on West Ham joining Burnley and Wolves.

Dangerous game that thinking you will definitely get those points, think we have learnt that the last few years.
The pressure is off ,those two realistic they are going down
But both can have the odd good day, Burnley aways seem to be in games then let themselves down.
Wolves. Have improved and still have some good players.
