Relegation Thread 25-26

It’s not just on a functioning striker, the structure and balance of the team is wrong.

It was always going to be a season of upheaval, moving stadium and the huge turnover in the playing staff, but it’s frustrating that we haven’t addressed some glaring issues with the squad (ahem…..right back), and the manager doesn’t seem to know how to use what he does have effectively.

It’s especially frustrating when I think the league is very poor, and it wouldn’t & shouldn’t take much to get up to positions 4-8 quite comfortably.
Stop being so logical Nath. I want more bedwetting from you. We're doomed right? Can't compete against Burnley, Leeds and Wolves so we take our medicine and come back stronger to compete with these impressive football teams

All games are losable, all games are winnable. Who had us down to beat palace unbeaten in about 20 games after we couldn’t beat a rancid West Ham team?
Without a proper striker we’re the kind of team that will finish somewhere between 9th and 14th without threatening either end of the table, we’ll have some nice wins like Palace and Brighton and some crap results like West Ham and Leeds until we get a proper goalscorer.
I did for one. I predicted they'd lose energy late in the game due to their European exertions.

That was a winnable game because of it.

Sunderland are nothing. We should be taking at least a point but we can and must take all three.

We have won one away game so far this season Dave, you are asking Moyes to change things up here, don't see it myself.
They're a promoted team having a good start to the season.

There's pressure on them now as they'll - laughably - be seen as favourites for this game, and they'll be expecting three points.

I see this as a big opportunity to get a win.

It should be but Moyes doesn't seem to know his best setup atm, everything is a bit flat and he needs to sort it asap.

….don’t see any pressure on them at all, indeed they’ll be relishing games at this point in time. I just hope we’re superior to them and that manifests itself on the night but it could be a very difficult game.

the likes of Palace

Could say the same for the likes of Palace,
"Beware the likes of Palace!"

Logically yes…but it’s Moyes they are facing…
