Relegation Thread 25-26

Spurs

- fan base only just realising now that relegation is a possibility
- A squad who bar 1 or 2 have no experience of a relegation battle
- Inexperienced premiership manager with a patchy history in other leagues
- horrendous run of form
- Extra European games stretching an already injured/thin squad
- West Ham/Forest…with momentum

We know ourselves no team is too big to go down, that once you start sinking its hard to stop…if i was a spurs fan i’d be worried

If spurs do fall into the bottom 3 i think mentally they won’t get out…

Good post, all I'm thinking is ,they have Richarlison,if they clock how big an influence they have in their squad in this situation then they might just make it .

Nothing has changed my mind about Spurs' changes of staying up (guaranteed for me). But it's unreal to see how close they are at the moment - there will definitely be nerves in their game tonight. It would be crazy to see them drop into the bottom three at some stage with the money they've spent both on their squad and stadium. I still maintain the old adage they're too good/big to go down, and they do have players returning. A defeat tonight and I could genuinely see Tudor being given the boot.

Their fixture schedule is so congested as well, they literally might end up doing the opposite of what they did last season and throw their Champions League games to try and ensure a fit squad and guarantee league safety.

Fixtures are tonight Palace at home, 10th away at Atletico, 15th away to Liverpool, 18th home to Atletico, 22th home to Forest then a two week break until Sunderland away.

I do think at some stage it will click though.

Tudor was an odd appointment…bringing in a manager into a relegation scrap…into a league he has no knowledge off.

When he has a patchy history in management.

Right now they prob wish they didn’t have the champs league games but just abandoning them and say lose 4/5 nil over the two legs would hit moral as well…best bet might be to go for them and hope a cup run boosts the moral/feel good factor round the club
