Relegation 23/24 Thread

It's a bit of a killer blow getting another deduction. The first time around we expected a reaction from the squad and got one but having it happen twice... well it's going to be hard to regain that same level of motivation for a second time, especially as we are in worse form than we were previously.
5 points from safety. It's doable.

They lost at home to burnley tbf. But just from watching them no matter who they are playing they give a decent account of themselves and i still regard them as one of the relegation teams. But by no means certain.

Ultimately it will come down to their home games v Brentford, Bournemouth, Sheffield United, Fulham, Forest and....Everton.

They could well win 3/4 of those so then need a "shock" win and something away and that will get them into the low 30s which will be a give them a fighting chance.

People have to remember the amount on this thread in August saying they wouldn't even make 20 points. I was one of them.

Given the PL's track record of making things up as they go this deduction is likely to be 15 points.

Guilty of the same offence a 2nd time means a harsher punishment is required.

If both ourselves and Forest received a 10 points deduction, that would still only leave us 5 points off safety.

We can do this. We really can stage the greatest escape in football history, but it is absurd that it's come to this.
