On the subject of clutching at straws , the month of April sees us having 5 games to play , West Ham will now have to play 9 games during April after last nights win.
Looking at West Ham’s fixtures after todays European draw , it means they’re going to be playing a game every 3 days from 2nd-29th of April.
That‘s a lot for any so called “elite” teams but for West Ham that might be a bit to much (sadly) I like them and there lunatic fans….

Really need to get the first goal v Newcastle. They'll endlessly waste time if they go 1 up and in fairness they have real quality in final third with likes of Isak and Bruno Guimaraes. Can see that going the way of the Villa game tbh, more chance to beat Spurs I think although again lots of quality in final third.

I'm still cautious. People saying 11th and 12th yet it could easily be no wins from next three home games and then things get really desperate.
Isak was great today, loads of energy, luck and panache

No, I get that. Everyone will be expecting some kind of new manager bounce. We’ll see.
How do you and other Palace fans feel about the sacking Al?

Seems like a panic decision and very short term to me.

Yes you've had a bad run of results but played some good teams in that time and much easier games ahead.

It seems (roughly) 70:30 in favour of him going, however some of that 70 is a slightly reluctant 70, thinking that if he had more time/games he may not need to have gone. Tbf some of the 70 have been calling for him to be gone for weeks. My own opinion is that the club lost it’s nerve and worryingly there appears to be nothing in place as a back up. We’ll see.

Yep I wouldn't be enamoured at the possibility of Roy's return.
