If they don’t take urgent significant action in January to rectify the attacking situation then we can talk about tactics, managers, and fixtures all we want, it won’t change that we’ll be one of the favourites to go down.

We need a striker and wide forward who can both hit the ground running and immediately add quality up top.
The board should hang their heads in shame if they dont hand Lampard firepower to get us safe.

Making him call back Simms is a humiliation that the board have put Lampard through.

When we were in trouble in 17/18 we went out and brought in Tosun and Walcott for 50 million. Long term they were poor signings for us but they helped keep us up that season when i thought we were one of the worst teams in the league with an awful defence and a one paced attack.

We need a similar shot in the arm. It might be expensive, and a bad move longer term but the bigger picture is still being a premier league club when we get into the new stadium.

I hope they're getting some cash in for these stadium deals they can bring forward.

Hopefully the Simms move is more a stunt to make selling clubs get realistic about the valuation of their players we might want.

Great point today.
Now...can we go buy some forwards. Even if they're not top quality i think two strikers walking into the club will give as much as a boost to the rest of the squad as the point today.
Take your point but as we all know it is so difficult finding even not top quality forwards. We could do without additional squad players who offer little but use up precious financial resources. So it is a difficult one. Yes we absolutely need a forward but need to take care not to shackle ourselves to a costly player who offers little in return for years to come like Tosun for example.

Yeah it is without a doubt. But i think the rest of the squad feel and sense no forward line. It imo will be a boost.
Unfortunately i think this one has to be gambled on.

Results have been quite kind the last few days - hope that continues all season. Need spurs and Chelsea to turn up tomorrow.

Great battling performance today, and have to use that mindset and fight in the upcoming matches.

We simply have to get some attacking options in now though, if that board of ours don’t support Frank fully they are worse than I thought.
