I think this is the year it finally happens. We got ever so lucky last season but I just can't see it happening again this time around. There isn't one team worse then us in the whole league, let alone three. We've lost our talisman that ran himself into the ground for us in Richarlison and the usless wasters we have left look defeated every single time they take to the field. We can't say that we don't deserve this. We're run like a championship club, we have bog standard championship level players, a championship level manager, a none league level board and an enthusiastic amateur level fool for an owner. Its a recipe for disaster. Frankly if we do go down then we'll be lucky if we don't find ourselves in another relegation battle just to stay in the championship.

The frustration reached its apex in the final minutes, after the fans being served a crapshow for 80 plus minutes. I think it then dawned on the clueless players that they should be doing a bit more than peeing about across the back to win it, but there was no logical, tactical plan the entire match - the movement from the forward players was abysmal, hence the lumping it forward. Then defensively on the break, the players don’t do their jobs and let the wolves players run unchecked to set the goal up, as they had runners going unmarked and no tackle/foul going in - it’s criminal and amateur.

Then when we give the ball away, A player for most other sides would have clobbered several of the wolves players to get the boooking, stop their break and allow us to get us organised - Fernandinho did it for years, Rodri does it now, as does any half decent player. Happens at every level of the game ffs.

We didn’t put a proper tackle/foul in all match.
But poor movement is understandable when we have no real attackers on the pitch. Of course the midfielders will dally on the ball. Everyone knows what we need to stop that continuing: purchases in january.

I agree with you on the breakaway that should have been stopped. Patterson was right next to the Wolves goalscorer when he broke away for the winner. He needed to tap his heels and bring him down, because he was never getting back to his own box to challenge.

I dont see a worse team in the PL than us on the form of the last month and a half.

Other teams' supporters fearing the drop are now factoring in that Everton, S'ton and Forest will save them.
Going to need Bournemouth to fall apart and someone unexpected to have a mare and drop like a stone. Perhaps a Palace or a Toneyless Brentford. We are not getting to 40 points this season IMO.

I think Wolves will be ok. They have money to spend and new manager momentum. West Ham have too much quality. If I was to try to look at it objectively right now I would say it is us Saints and Bournemouth (feeling Forest will get out of it)

We're in this until May. No way we extricate ourselves from a relegation nightmare.

It's sickening and we need a revolution at this club.

I'm amazed people seem so placid about it compared to this time last year.

I think it is because there is still over half a season to go and a transfer window. The reality is there is more chance of our relegation rivals strengthening in January then us.

I disagree. Last season taught everyone that a transfer window isn't a silver bullet.

Maybe some feel a change of manager will do it for us and our passive on that basis? If so they are kidding themselves.

Make no bones about this: we are down as things stand and Goodison and Finch Farm should be faced with mass protests.

Delusion because we're not quite half a season in, and they can't see the writing is on the wall. "Still 22 games left", ignoring the results during Lampard's entire tenure.

Based on that, I think if we don’t make quick signings in Jan there should be an organised protest against the board. Do that before the window closes or else it’s too late. I agree, based on the current squad we are likely to get relegated.

Can’t see how we get out this time round. Can only see us dropping further down the table. The tone was set by the clubs inability to bring in any attacker of note to replace Richarlison. If that player was Maupay then we didn’t stand a chance in the first place. Laughing stock of a club.
