Look we were awful last night, but come on if we turn up like we did against palace we end up mid table. Palace beat west ham today they're decent. We got a point at Fulham which we usually lose and beat Southampton away ,big week ahead yes but I do think we will fumble along to mid table in the end...

It's very hard not to get extremely frustrated and disheartened supporting this club, especially for the majority of the Premier League era.

But I'm personally going to try and be patient and not expect a quick fix. Obviously every single one of us wants an improvement as soon as possible, and it's tough to see another club in Newcastle who've been recently taken over, now up in 3rd, scoring for fun, so soon after coming in to money whilst we have actually regressed under Moshiri.

If we are to be in a relegation battle though, which I don't believe we will (lower midtable more likely), at least this season we have players better suited for the fight. We have Tarkowski and Coady for a start, as well as a lively Patterson and Gana who may be limited on the ball but will always battle.

I think the draw vs Fulham was a good indication that we will grind out enough points to steer clear of relegation but a win vs Bournemouth is a lot more important than it was a couple of weeks ago.

Signed him on deadline day in the January, his goals helped us to a top half finish and a cup semi final. Went to pot in subsequent seasons like but it was a positive attacking signing at the time
Absolutely loved him. Then Moyes worked his tactical magic and he changed from one of the coolest finishers i've ever seen to someone who looked scared of entering the box right before my very eyes. He even bought his Strike partner from Rangers in the summer to "support" him, and played him right wing to break his spirit too.

That 1st 6 months though was more than enough to earn him a place in my all time "What if" 11, along with Marco Materazzi, Manuel Fernandes and James Rodriguez.

I can only dream

West Ham are crap this season, so are Palace, most of the bottom 10 clubs are crap. I think Leicester will pull away though, they will get over their crap start, as they aren't as crap as their current league position would suggest.

It's why home games against crap sides like Palace actually are 'must win' games, although some will accuse you of being dramatic for saying so. If we hadn't beat Palace the other week, where would we be right now? The same goes for our home game against Bournemouth next week, it is a MUST WIN. Fail to win a game like that and we are in all kinds of trouble.
