We need to get an attacking player in. There must be loan options better than Gray or Gordon. Even without it we look to have enough resilience
Incredible win for them. Bournemouth at home next so big chance to get into the mid table group.

Very little in the league this season below 7th (and that includes the other lot across Stanley Park).
Yes although highly amusing a defeat for Leeds yesterday would have opened a useful gap between us and the bottom 3. I still can’t see how we finish below Bournemouth unless the spend heavily in Jan which is possible with new ownership. Brentford are starting to look a little wobbly. Although they have past form for pulling out results. Realistically it is between us and the below. Villa and Leicester have the quality to pull away to safety

Forest
Wolves
Leeds
Bournemouth
Saints
Brentford

Aren’t you the one who said he’d be “devastated” if we didn’t pick up at least 7 points from the next three games as we were better than all three (which means we must beat Leicester?)
Yes I'll be gutted and think it's an awful points haul from three very winnable games if we get fewer than 7. How come?

Key for me is fitness of the defence:

Pickford Patterson Coady Tarkowski Myko for most games and that defence does not have us down in trouble quite simple. Teams that go down don’t have one of the best defences in the league.

If messrs Coleman Keane Holgate find themselves back in the 11 long term though then they’re a league below the first choice back 4 and could easily have us in trouble with our attacking woes.

Just need to keep picking up points. Another welcome one against Fulham. Avoiding defeat is the name of the game for survival as there’s teams at the bottom who will lose multiple games in a row. We just need to keep grinding out points.

Because you’re now saying you wouldn’t be surprised if Leicester do us.

Leicester is going to be a much tougher game than in August-September when they were a shambles. If you only concede v Man. City from a world class free kick that suggests you've sorted things out defensively and they had four clean sheets from five before yesterday.

Tricky one, they were pretty comfortable at Goodison last season until the usual last 10 minute seige at the Gladys when Richie scrambled one in.

Really need to be beating Bournemouth though otherwise after nearly half a season team is just plodding along on a point a game and you're not finishing very high in the league with that points ratio.

20 points by end of Wolves game has to be the target.

Burnley must've had one of the best defensive records of team that went down in recent times?

Saturday’s match against Leicester is massive. Must win and much needed 3 points. Leicester has improved but I still don’t think they are all that good. We are at home and I really think we should take care of them. I’m more worried about Bournemouth away. Get the 3 points at home against Leicester and go into Bournemouth with not as much pressure and either get the 3 points or even a point I would be okay with. Can’t afford to lose either of these two games.

Win next weekend - and open a nice gap to our opponents - and we can look forward to a more relaxed break. Draw, or worse, and we are right in the thick of it again.

Burnley had a solid defence. Pope, Tarks and Collins/Mee is really the same level as Pickford, Tarks and Coady/Holgate.
They got relegated because they couldn’t score goals. (McNeil being part of that issue)
We’ll be in a scrap at the bottom without further attacking quality in January.
