Five points from the next nine available and cup progression will be adequate for now. That will give us a solid base for the rest of the campaign and will ensure no upheaval come the World Cup break. This is a realistic and attainable minimum. As far as I am concerned, all three league games and the cup match are there to be won. Allowing for our current state of development, one win, three draws and progression on penalties is not a high bar to set.

I said 20 pts by the WC and we're sound - usually I'd say 25 pts by Xmas day to be provisionally safe. So win the next two and this thread can more or less be considered redundant I feel.

Need to keep winning at Goodison really. Four points from Leicester-Wolves will be fine and play like Palace and can easily be six points.

Not win at Bournemouth though and hard to see where the next away win will occur.

Won't be finishing too high up the league waiting for the second away win of the season to arrive in May again. Infact that would be unacceptable as it would be a repeat of last year.

Infact break it down and away games go like this:

Bournemouth- two weeks time.

Man. City- NYE

Arsenal away- probably played in mid January.

West Ham

RS- early Feb.

Forest- March 4th.

Chelsea and Man. United take things up to late April.

Don't win at Bournemouth and could easily become 1 win in 14-15 games bar a shock result.

Bubble burst in 2nd half v Spurs. Has to finally be a league win for us at that bloody ground...

They played really well up to then. Big problem they had as soon as Spurs scored is they couldn't get up the pitch with two strikers who couldn't move.

Moore is very effective in the air but I'd fancy Tarks-Coady to handle him no problem based on how they dealt with Mitrovic.

Hopefully win the cup tie down there and then full of confidence going into the league match.

Are you sure, Mitrovic should have had a double hat trick ! Thank fcuk his finishing didn't match his positional paly !
