There’s an old story about Graham Poll getting drunk and acting up in a bar one time , and one of the refs sending an anonymous email to the FA about it, nobody ever admitted it.

Wouldn’t surprise me if this was a similar thing, I don’t think any of the referees in this country have any redeeming features at all, they’re a proper proper strange bunch of people.
