Player Valuation: £10m
Howard - 5 Horrendous mistake for there goal and would be lower but for a good save later on.
Baines - 5 Nowhere near as good as mon, looked shaky, didnt get close to the winger and got beat a few times
Lescott - 9
Jag - 9 This is for both of the centre halves, they were superb and but for 1 incident didnt look like getting beat all day.
Hibbert - 7 Made some important challenges
Castillo - 4 Game passed him by
Neville - 5 Slightly better than segundo but not by much, he missed Arteta badly
Ossie - 5 Poor game from him again
Vic - 6 Not as good as monday but tried to take the game to them but struggled and was playing with a injury in the 2nd
Pienaar - 8 The only 1 to really get the ball down and attack them, good performance
Cahill - 8 Excellent leading of the line as usual and superb movement for our goal

Cant fault that, I'd probably give Howard a 3, for his complete lack of assurance in the 1st half, too often he was stuck to his line instead of dominating his area collecting the ball and killing the attack Jags/Lescott had to hoof for a throw instead on a number of occasions. Probably being over critical but for his "great save"....why was he on his arse? If he stands up he takes it in hid midrift and attack is over.

Anyhoo, we have every chance with new signings and returning players come Wednesday week.

Howard - 5 - Mistake for the goal...

Hibbert - 7 - Solid mostly...
Jagielka - 9 - Outstanding, once again
Lescott - 9 - Outstanding and got the goal
Baines - 6 - Quite anonymous really...

Osman - 5 - Lost the ball alot, and some bad passes. But still 100% effort
Neville - 6 - Anonymous really...but he did get some good tackles in
Castillo - 4 - Reminded me of Neville when we first signed him - does something good - then gives the ball away straight away.
Pienaar - 7 - Worked hard throughout
Anichebe - 7 - Some good runs, won the corner we scored from, and its difficult when there isnt many midfielders who can pass to him.

Cahill - 8 - Great movement for the goal, and he helped out with the Defence alot too, with some clearing headers.

I gave everyone 8 out of 10. Lets face it, facing a full strength RS team with a depleted squad, no recognised strikers plus it took one mistake from Howard to earn them a replay, signifies to me a monumental team effort. Fair enough, certain individuals played better than others but the team performance as a whole is what mattered at the end of the day.
