Rate Donovan's Loan Performance

8/10 gave us something our right side has lacked for a long time. I'd be happy to see him back if the MLS goes on strike.

I'd say he was good, and had a lot of potential.
I wouldn't get too excited and say he was awesome, because he wasn't, and certainly some performances were slightly better than others.

Overall, I think he is worth a second look, and if the opportunity came up to offer him a contract in the future, then it would be worth giving the guy a shot.

For me 7/10

If we have any sense we should do some exhibition games with the Galaxy or invite them over here, establish relations as it were.

That's like asking a fat ugly chick out just to get close to her hot skinny friend. They can smell that [Poor language removed] a mile away.

You gave Sir Landon a 9? really? And you want better? Doesn't make much sense to me. For me a 9 is to high, so maybe you're being funny??

He doesn't know much about football, mate.

I was going to say 7.5, but after watchign the Birmingham match I will go for 8.

Why? Because Birmingham's left back was getting too far forwrd. You just didn't see much of that happening during the games where LD was manning the RW position. Whether it was because of his defense (a little bit) or because his speed posed a particular threat (more likely) he kept those defenders pinned back a bit.

That is my only unique insight. Everyone knows what he has and has not accomplished during his stay. I would also point out his moderate versatility, because I thought he did a decent job as the striker during this last match. Put himself in good positions, helped win and maintain possession (never thought I would see him win a goal kick at centerfield), and though he didn't really threaten the goal, he did have some threatening play in the box.

6.5

I thought he would score more to be honest. Also didn't take as many shots as I hoped. I had high expectations for the guy. Definitely glad he fit in well though.

I think 6.5 is a bit harsh. 7.5 for me. Would have been 8 if he hadn't missed against Spurs.

Each to their own, Maverick, but I think you have to remember he hasn't played in a top league before (Germany isn't one of the top 3 European leagues). The way he settled in to a far superior league to the one he usually plays in was fantastic.
