Please explain JFTM

The product of the SPL is far better when the standard is better. I'd never sit and watch some tripe like Dundee v Aberdeen but I'd sit down and watch an old firm if it was on. The league needs to be better so that the Scottish teams can do better in europe and young Scottish kids get to develop playing alongside better players. Rangers not being utterly dire would help that.

They need each other as they are the only teams most people are interested in outside of Scotland. who took any notice of Scottish football while Celtic were walking it due to Rangers problems ? The TV companies only want the Old Firm games and lets face it the rest are pretty crap from a TV revenue point of view.

Never mind Celtic and Rangers Rob, wouldn't it be great to see the likes of Aberdeen,Hibs and Hearts do well, they have had somewhat of a resurgence since the demise of the old Rangers though I've got to agree to a point that sadly because they hog all the support, Celtic and Newco Rangers are the main commercial attraction up here outwith Scotland but I don't think they need each other so much as all the other club's needing them,Celtic's revenue has been on the up over the last few years without a Rangers team in the top flight.

A while back there was talk of Scottish teams joining with some Scandinavians teams I cant remember what it was to be named. If it was just Celtic/Rangers it could rejuvenate the Scottish game as the big two are just that and its very unlikely to change. I assume the other clubs will miss the away fans that follow the big two around. Its a difficult one and I fear for the Scottish game as far as some genuine competition goes I cant see it changing any time soon.

The lad's a bigot mate. He always resembled a BNP activist. He's found a spiritual home now, fans who will excuse his behaviour and attack those who try to challenge it. So yes it's very likely to whining cretin will think of something.

On the one hand I hope Rangers can dislodge the faux Irish team...on the other I want Gerrard to fail miserably.

I cant understand how any English person can want Celtic to stay at the top...makes no sense to me at all.

The way we had 1 or 2 Rangers fans (not the lads who are Evertonian's who fortunately have our socialisation within them to provide humanity) came on here and started insulting people or saying we are bang out of order for disliking Gerrard. That sort of cemented it for me. I'll never forget the way they insulted and attacked Evertonian's and embraced thuggery. I hope Celtic gub them and give Gerrard what he's had coming to him for a long time.

Oh and for any lurking Rangers fans (Kopites of the north) who want to start throwing in insulting, ill judged and factually incorrect references to Irish paramilitary groups, I'd support any paramilitary group on any side over a lowlife coward like Steven Gerrard.

No you haven't mate, you're a good lad and I did mention that in the post. The Evertonians here who like Rangers make interesting and worthwhile contributions.

There was that wally on recently who took to accusing anyone who didn't share his version of events as mentally ill and that Evertonian's who sung a song about Steven Gerrard as being out of order. Given what's sung at Old Firm Games I thought it was a bit of a cheek to start making moral judgements.

His world view was warped as well like. Anyone who didn't agree with him he seemed to suggest were members of the IRA. He didn't seem to grasp the fenian movement ended about 100 years before the RA was (re) formed. But that was him really, anyone who opposed Rangers was a fenian, anyone who was a fenian was the equivalent of an IRA member, any IRA member was a murdering terrorist etc. All a bit futile.

The same was true of Gerrard, couldn't understand why people were happy Lennon drew with him. Kept saying how Lennon was a worse human being. He's obviously not aware of Gerrard GBH stuff or is the sort of scumbag that thinks that sort of stuff is commendable. Difficult to say really. Either way, me or no other Evertonian should have to apologise for calling out Gerrard for what he is. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere he had apparently physically attacked a kid as well.


You and Corkblue (and other Rangers fans) are nothing like that and I enjoy discussing different things with you. I think it helps you're Evertonians too mind and probably gives a bit of wider perspective.

I have no dog in the Rangers V Celtic hunt but I sincerely hope Stevie Me is a massive success at Rangers. It couldn't be more obvious what would happen if he was. The weirdo's over park will be all over it and turn on Klippy without a second thought to pursue old GBH, who it's safe to say would ditch Rangers in a heartbeat for the RS. Exactly, i'd rather discuss sensibly and respect eachothers views, also the fenian movement was formed in america and the united irishmen were largely presbyterian, and i still call him slippy (even at ibrox)
