I will be amazed if he doesn't Gary Neville it.

He's come from the RS U18s and walked into the second biggest job in Scottish footy becat he's Stevie G la.

As @jaycee said. Either way it is win-win. He will cock it up or impress and they will be calling for him to replace Klopp.

Arguably, Liverpool have handed over to Rangers two of the three greatest players in their post-war history...and got Charlie Adam going the other way.

Doesn't seem fair somehow. :coffee:

Looking forward to Sewerness offering GBH advice on how to approach the Old Firm encounters: "Get the lads together for a pre-match sashing it up session, whip the crowd into a murderous sectarian frenzy, break as many Celtic player's legs as possible".

Imagine giving up your fried Mars Bar money for that? That's dedication.

The Souness comparison doesn't really work because

A. He had David Murray's pocketbook to play with

and

B. With English teams banned from Europe, he was able to poach players from that League and pay them more than they could get in England

Gerrard won't be able to do either
Correct Mikey, he also had little competition from Celtic at the time because of the 'family' ownership and the ''biscuit tin' mentality, Stevie G La is going into a whole different environment, I gaurantee Rangers will be unable to provide him with the funds they have obviously promised him plus Celtic have the capacity to step up a gear if they feel the need to. Failure written all over this, he's obviously being advised by Joey Barton :celebrate:

Hahaha, state of this post, how they managed to make the final beggars belief, they were lucky Zenit only got two.

Let's blame the sfa, couldn't make it up. That europa campaign still pains me, if penalties had went our way we would have got past PSV and Rangers, not sure about the final cos Zenit were decent, but it would have been like a home game in Manchester and that might have seen us through.

At least the Rangers fans enjoyed their night out though, horrible shower.
we beat zenit home and away that year...

Rodgers will give him a pity win in a derby, just watch. That pathetic worm spent his entire time at Liverpool being told what to do by Gerrard, no way will dare to upset his master.

I assume you turned down the assistant managers job then

Don't really understand that one Rob maybe you could explain, but I think with the present directors in place especially King, anyone would be crazy to come to Rangers in any management capacity.
Rangers need to follow Celtic's modern blueprint ( no pun intended) get sound and honest business people in who have a feel for the club, who understand the Scottish game, who can provide regular funding without having to borrow beyond their means, who can make and maintain an annual profit, I don't think under King's leadership Rangers are capable of ticking any of these boxes, I do not believe he is even in tune with the supporters expectations on any level.
