He also played together with Pienaar at Ajax, so maybe he can also have a word with him. As long as we don't sign Zlatan Ibrahimovitch, he at least won't be put off, by rejoining teammates.

Money is always a concern at Everton, but I bet Moyes would be extremely annoyed with the board, if he missed out on VDV, because we couldn't manage to get the required 8-10m. quoted for him.

Pienaar only started to really get going mid way through last season.
This season, he started off pretty poorly in comparison, and is now injured.

Let him prove himself before we offer more. The deal on the table should be an ' I want to play for you ' and not ' we want you to play for us '.

If we don't sign him in the next few years, we shouldn't even bother.
Different opinion to yours though, don't think it's that unrealistic. If we are really interested that is.
