er no, Benitez specifically wondered why he wasnt being asked about transfers, if you listen to the interview again.

The fact that the interviewer opened with a question about other teams transfers dealings is an embarassment to us, not the interviewer.
No it is really poor interviewing. It is belittling to us and pathetic by the interviewer.
To me it just smacks of no preparation. The club should politely remove his press pass.
Perhaps I should have been more explicit for the 3 year olds reading this

what possible questions around transfers could there have been when we aren’t signing anyone.
Well there are a lot of rumours and Benitez himself said they are working on two or three.

Seems like you forgot last season and Martinez' first season.

I Aint pal we still were dead on our feet in the early days of martinez first season and it was horrific to watch the first 3 or 4 games of his tenure

Spurs last year were that bad and unbelievable unfit they made us look much fitter than we actually were

Hey Kev, were you the journo in question? I see you were making a fine point with your question.

Good man. Show the club up for its failings. It's what we all need to see more of, investigative journalism at its finest.

I don’t see why fans of the club feel the need to protect the club from its obvious transfers failings.

I mean isn’t it humiliating enough that we have a kopite lording it over us?

How much further are we prepared to sink in an attempt to gloss over what’s actually happening?

No mate, I agree, if Richy goes we need to be waiting to interrogate Farhad outside the carpark about where the money has gone.

If we win today he has passed his first phase as manager with flying colours.

Agree. Didn't want him here. Still think it's alienated a small proportion of the fanbase, but I've never really thought he was a bad manager. First couple of league games it has looked far more structured with square pegs in square holes than last season. If he wins today, you'd have to say he's got off to a good start even allowing for the fact the squad isn't what he wants yet.

to be fair, all our last few managers have had decent starts to their management with us.

He's come in and played to our strengths and tried to address the weaknesses...both on the pitch and in attitude off it (James and Kean being punted underlines that).
