This has got to be the most depressing pre season I can remember, not looking forward to the new season at all.

Benitez now in charge allied with a gutless squad that has about much spirit as my year olds soiled nappy.

Benitez getting the job has really rooted out the people who support Everton cos they love Everton and the ones who support Everton because they hate Liverpool hasn’t it.

Swear we would be more successful if we stopped being arsed about them

I can only speak for myself I first watched Everton in 1963 and my first recollection of wanting the RS to lose was watching them get beat in the 1966 cup winners cup final against Borussia Dortmund with my arl fella.
Does that put me category 1 or category 2 ?

I couldn't accept Gerrard or Dalglish say. I'd even struggle a lot with Carragher.

But I've got no problem with Benitez. He's a professional who I hope and expect to be successful.

In managerial terms - if he was pitched against his son's side he would have absolutely no issue in beating him and relegating him.

I actually envisage blue bill going into his office with pictures of the boys pen, telling him about the cannonball kid, Dixie Dean and Rafael saying "are they available for selection??? No..... So why are you telling me this?"

He's not one for teary eyed emotional blues .... He's probably the reason why Liverpool won in 2005 - he just doesn't do emotion. Imagine if it was him on the touchline in the cup final against Chelsea???? We don't lose that game.


For me he has very similar traits to Neville Southall...... Southall never let his mind stray from the game and what was going on. Win the FA cup and went home,. Kicked off on teammates who never trained right. Relentless work ethic and emotion less

Don’t wish it at all that just ridiculous, I don’t think he is right for this club at all and will not progress us and the toxicity he will bring will have a detrimental impact on the team.

He hasn’t achieved anything of note in years add to that his past why people think he will help progress this club is beyond me.
