You‘re being silly now, Benitez, when he went to Madrid, had a CV worthy of managing at the highest level. Hodgson, Moyes and Silva didn’t just have a CV not worthy, they didnt really have one!

It’s really not though. The other managers you’ve mentioned were clearly out of their depth and have never won anything. Maybe Madrid was too big for Benítez, with all the egos and their crazy President that sacks managers after winning European Cups.

I don't want Rafael because he's a kopite and I've had enough of appointing no marks with relegations on their CV.

Not to mention his football is extraordinarily dull and he's an arrogant bitter man.

Anyone who wants Rafael to be our manager is deluded and it makes me extremely annoyed to see his name bandied about.

I haven't seen a single name mentioned in this thread that is a better and more realistic option.

We need somebody to tighten the defence and somebody who knows the Premier League, not somebody who may or may not be a great manager in the future.

The club is in a big crisis, and the only important thing this season is to survive.

Given he said that, our expectations are currently lower than spurs, a side that until recent years were our equal.

We have spent considerably more than them in that time frame.
