Most elite muslim athletes don't fast during Ramadan and are able to miss the fast and fast on other days to make it back up

I honestly don't think Ramadan is a big barrier to that and remember its a squad game so if it is an issue we should have cover.

He won't be the first muslim to play for us

Moght be but almost every Iranian i have met is a muslim Shia but i don't know if Morshiri is.

Could be a selection bias thing, if the iranians youve met are shia it could be because theyre the ones who left iran because of the revolution
