I presumed Lennon's work rate, pressure and defensive qualities would appeal to Koeman but if Ghezzal is coming in I can't see a spot in the side for Lennon.

Koeman likes work rate but also he likes his players to have that extra quailty as well. He wouldnt play Phil because of work rate

...now that we are getting more of an idea of the type of player RK wants, I had another look at this fella. The comparison with Mahrez is understandable but it's also worth considering Bolasie because this lad really has got a bit of size about him, he's a big lad at 6ft. He also has lengthy powerful stride on him, suiting the 'inverted' winger RK appears to want.

If we were to sign this kid, then you'd have to say McGeady and Lennon will be the 2 to go. I'd keep Lennon for backup but I think he wants first team footy and he knows he won't get that here, could probably get £10m for him in today's market.

Of course we want rid of McGeady, but I definitely think there's a place for Lennon if we continue with the 3 at the back formation. Lennon would be perfectly suited to the RWB role as a backup to Coleman, understands playing wide and has a great defensive workrate. Would be much better suited to the role then McCarthy, surprised we've gone with him there
