i have a theory he sees them as back up strikers, or at least one of them covering that role. save a few million by asking Kev to do the shane long role rather than signing one. that would perhaps explain why we are then signing another winger.

Tough one this. Geri on his day is the more devasting player, but miralles is the better finisher. One on one he is an extremely accomplished finisher.

Im sure that many of us used this routine as a full warm up before football, only thing that's missing is when the keeper has about 30 shots hit at him..... at the same time. Cue the sidelines whispering, that keeper only saved one of about 30, crap him.

Think it is obvious that Koeman doesn't think that Del can play 90 minutes and wants someone more creative to bring in off the bench than Lennon. Also then, when Rom is out and Del plays up front we can have Ghezzy start with Lennon to back up.

Plus this lad could also be depth behind Barkley as well. Koeman likes players he can slot into different roles.

This may be a signal that there will not be a striker coming in though.....other than say someone like Austin for cover if he could be had for <6m or so.
