Absolutely hate that this is in the name of the poor little girls. The powderkeg has been there waiting to go off for months, maybe years and the opportunists have found a reason to kick off, commit crimes, just for the hell of it.

Seen the videos from today's sh*tshow. Took me back to the riots in 2011 I think it was. People smashing up and robbing shops in town because it was taking place down south. They will take any opportunity they can get.

99% of us need to get on with life keep things going, keep business running, have emergency services working for those that need it.

Not an advocate of police aggression by any means, but the scenes posted on social media consistently appear to show them taking passive, submissive positions, allowing the mob to attack them, gain confidence and further escalate.

If the situation has broken down to the extent that riot gear and shields are justified, they should be far more proactive and aggressive from the start.

The riots in Sunderland, 6 arrested and released on bail headlines, don’t exactly send a deterrent message.

Hugely conflicted even saying this, after living through and supporting the miner’s strike, but what is currently happening has no moral justification.

I have just been saying that , if it was Football fans they would have the batons out police horses riding in.
This lot have no fear of the cops at all , leads to you can't touch me attitude from to many.
I have been smacked in the gob, punched , kicked legged by horses and dogs , been beaten with batons on the floor, by coppers, deliberately ran into with police vans and cars at the game , mostly deserved it some times not.
Have given a bit back to at times .
But you didn't ever go out your way to confront them as there was only one winner in that game.
Coppers need to get let off the leash, and earn the respect back.
This lot today are just little bastards who cause trouble they aren't far right protesters or anything else just trouble causing vermin.
