I was then in my Teens, going all games home and away.

We got thrashed at Newcastle away one year, and the team coach pulled into the services, Billy actually apologised to us and thanked us for our support.

Some decent teams and players during Billy's reign.

Just bad luck we never won any silverware during this period.

Quietly spoken and got on with his job without any fuss. Had us playing decent football and but for Carlisle effing United would have had a title winning team. Nice bloke as well.
