Never rated the lad even at PSV i always thought he was just a very fast headless chicken. If he'd played for the likes of stoke for years he wouldn't have been a standout player for them.

That's unfair, he wasn't played for marketing reasond he was played because he tracked back, ran all day and had a shot on him. Against the likes of Arsenal or Milan he was a massive part of denying the oppostion space. the fact that he played against the best sides but not the worst should tell you it was for footballing reasons.

Ferguson even started him in CL finals, ffs. You can't tell me that was for the sponsors sake.

I'm not saying he was Ronaldo but he played well in a lot of big games for Man U. He's just past it now.

There has been two seasons in the last decade where 76 points wouldn't finish you 3rd or 4th and in one of them it would finish second.

We keep up with an average of two points per game and we'll be top four.
