Q/A thread: on why you're an Evertonian

1) My uncle is a scouser and when I was little he was the only person I knew who was into football. He is an Evertonian and, on behalf of the club, he chose me when I was seven years old. In less than a year I watched the Rat lift the FA Cup; I grew up watching Europe's best goalkeeper, Big Nev, make most (old) first division strikers look like muppets; I saw Sheedy work miracles with his left foot. But most of all I saw a team that played fair and with bags of class.

2) Everton is not the biggest part of my life. But I'm more proud of it than almost all the other parts put together. The club is classy in a way that is largely now absent in football.

If you cut me down the middle I'd be blue.

Dead, but blue.
As would I be mate

As character building as growing up a blue in the 90's was, I still have so many amazing memories ingrained into my mind. Early matchday experiences, hero worshiping Big Dunc, the FA cup win, sitting listening to the match in my bedroom on radio city with my head in my hands one minute, to jumping around like a loon the next when we scored.

If anything, as I've gotten older I've become even more obsessed (not helped by acquiring a season ticket in recent years).

Love Everton

Love our fans

Love Goodison

Love Roberto

It's so good to be blue

1. Was chosen! Me ma and da are blue and so's his whole family so didn't have a choice.
2. Everton is just life. Top of my priorities (maybe not a good thing), but yeh my whole life revolves around Everton and I wouldn't change it for the world.

Q/A thread.

1. Why are you an Evertonian / Toffee / Bluenose / Blue etc?

2. What does Everton mean to you?

In your own words. No judgements from anyone else. Just be honest about yourself and EFC.

1. Family, Evertonian's are born not manufactured
2. They're my religion, nothing else comes close.

1. I was youngest of 4 children. Father (had trials for Liverpool in the 30's & a very good player), mother & 2 elder sisters all reds. Next was my brother (5 years older) & his best mate was a blue who convinced him to be a blue. My brother got terrible stick, and although very young I stuck up for him in defiance (Spartacus moment) & that was it!!! My dad tried to bribe me with extra pocket money but I am loyal & in fact the shenanigans made me even more 'hard line'. Best choice I ever made!!!
2. After family (but very, very close) Everton Football Club has had the most significant constant influence & affect on my life for well over 50 years!!!
